Christina & Matt

Cristina began singing professionally in the early 1990s with Italian-American wedding bands. In 2002, she stepped away from performing for about a decade after becoming pregnant with triplets! Then, during a much-needed night out in 2012, she went to see a friend’s band, was invited onstage to sing—and was asked to join the band that very night.

After performing with them for several years, Cristina went on to form her own band, Str8up, in 2016. The group has been going strong ever since, performing as both an acoustic duo and a four-piece full band.

Matt is a longtime veteran of the Tri-State music scene with more than 25 years of experience as a professional instrumentalist and vocalist. He has performed at countless special events, clubs, concerts, and musical theater productions and holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from William Paterson University.

A remarkably versatile musician, Matt is equally at home playing rock, pop, bluegrass, jazz, and everything in between. He’s also one of those rare acoustic guitarists who can handle lead and rhythm simultaneously, creating an incredibly full sound from a single instrument. Hearing him tackle songs like Journey’s “Separate Ways” or “Hotel California” on acoustic guitar is an experience in itself.

Together, Matt and Cristina have fantastic musical chemistry and harmonies that come naturally from years of performing together. Their repertoire spans classic rock, country, pop, disco, and much more, and they love reading the crowd, taking requests, and adapting their music to the atmosphere of each event.
